I need help with gearbox

    Hallo!
    Last night when I was driving my Trabant, I heard a large screaming noise from the gearbox, after a while (800m) the screaming disappeared and the Tacho was dead. Is there a quick and easy fix, or do I have to change the whole gearbox (I have one extra).


    And as usual, you can answer i German.

    I think in your gearbox the speedometer drive is collapse. You organise a workshop manual dismantle the gearbox and repair. You can’t that to do so take your spare gearbox and chance. Or you buy an exchange gearbox by a Trabant dealer in Germany. Addressee you can find easy in the internet.
